Ein paar Wörter von Ryan, Dead Nuts: "The Quill coils are 7.5 layer, and the Fire coils are 8 layer. In my opinion, 8 layer coils run better and have plenty of power for the application. 10 layer coils run a little too slow and hit a little too hard for my spring setup. Most artists like the option of running a shader with a soft hit and 10 layer coils almost remove that option.
All coils are hand wound, and all hardware is made here at the Dead Nuts Ink machine shop on a manual lathe, drill press, and grinder. Springs are hand cut from raw blue spring steel.
Every machine is broken in for over an hour, and is tuned to run at the most widely accepted speed, power, and stroke length. If your client wants a different tune, they can send it to us within 90 days of purchase for a specialized tune free of charge and free of return shipping.
We believe in the quality of our machines so much that we guarantee their operation for life, regardless of who owns it at the time. If we're sent a defective machine that we built, we will repair or replace it immediately without question. (the only exceptions to that are springs, misuse, or neglect)."
